With the Filipino middle class experiencing unprecedented growth, Ayala Land expanded its portfolio from primarily high-end properties to meet the needs of this thriving sector.
Ayala Land's new division, Laguna Properties Holdings Inc., began operations in 1990 with properties in the growth corridor south of Metro Manila. With LPHI, the company redefined the property market once more by providing its customers with a new set of options. Early projects such as Santarosa Estates in Sta. Hacienda Sta, Rosa, and Laguna Monica in Batangas, LPHI paved the way for a new generation of Filipinos to become property owners.
In 2006, LPHI changed its name to Avida Land Corp., which embodied a new purpose – "Ave" meaning "Celebrate" and "Vida" meaning "Life." Beginning with its Laguna developments, the company expanded into other areas and continued to reinvent the real estate segment, with the goal of making affordable dream communities a reality for middle-income Filipinos.
Avida's mission is to meet the needs of Filipino families for a safe, secure, and sensible home where they can celebrate life every day. With over 60,000 homes built nationwide and nearly 30 years of experience in developing and enriching communities, Avida's expanding portfolio has become a springboard for creating life's possibilities and opportunities. – from land and house, condominiums to offices, and integrated mixed-use communities.
